BTS: w/Nichola

This shoot happened end of 2023. There was a lot of uncertainty on my behalf on releasing this book. I kept pushing this shoot out. I am grateful for Nik’s paitence. I remember going to Vegas before this shoot and locking myself in my hotel and laying out the entire book and fishing through every poem, dissecting, editing and praying over it. I called Nik when I got back to town. This was my rollout (see rollout video here) for the new book. Nikki has the ability to bring the IT out of you. She kept saying “this is your art, you can do whatever you want with it…” So we shot for 2 days. I kept in mind the concept of WORDS being the focal point. How like art they are beautiful and painful; how they can make and break our hearts. I knew going into 2024, I was pressing every issue on and off the paper.
