By far this was my favorite event. My people showed up and made this a memorable night. I worked hard on this book, sold over 100 copies for pre-sale and was able to put this event together. My friend Dallas helped me with merch. Everything curated was handpicked for this night. From the guestlist to the charcuterie board, to the placement of the backdrop. The music played, the song list, the poems recited. Thankful for this book, it has made me stronger. Sometimes heartbreak is precisely what you need to get to the next version of yourself. You think it’s about one person or a relationship, but really it’s about your entire life. If I didn’t let my heart break I wouldn’t have found out what was inside of me. I would have stayed small— waiting for permission, believing I was not good enough to be loved. I’m also not condoning you go out and break your heart carelessly. Be safe, head on a swivel.
